//Nick’s POV//
‘How more boring/irritating will it get?’
That question lingered with him when they entered the apartment building and they found out the receptionist out shopping because the sign reading “Out shopping” said so.
“The receptionist is out shopping? Weird.” Judy commented on the matter as they got closer to the elevator and pressed the elevator button.
“It’s normal in this building.” the fox with a sigh replied as the elevator arrived. That was when Nick started have a feeling of nostalgia as the elevator doors opened and the normally bland smelling elevator had a bit of a smell of familiarity and… warmth to him.
They stepped into the elevator and Nick tried to remember where he smelled that kind of smell before. His thoughts were cut short by a question of Judy asking how the day had been.
“Boring.” Nick answered frankly and with a dull tone of voice. This got a chuckle from the bunny. The elevator stopped and both of them got out and walked the hallway a couple steps and Nick froze a couple doors from his own.
‘wait… why are there trash bags next to the door?’ Nick looked at the trash bags lying in a stack of 5 trash bags leaning on the wall next to a door labeled “303”.
Nick slowly walked to the door with Judy next to him and stood in front of the door. He quickly glanced at the trash bags and saw a couple empty pizza-boxes and other trash in them. He slowly opened the door and looked inside and was instantly enveloped in the smell of that same nostalgia he smelt in the elevator. He saw his apartment had been cleaned to near-perfection.
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He was never the cleaning-type and just “adapted” to the trashy apartment. He felt a bit homesick, since now he didn’t have to do all the acrobatics just to get to the kitchen without getting his feet dirty.
“Nick?” a young voice called out the fox and his eyes darted straight to the wolf sitting on the couch rubbing their eyes.
//???’s POV//
The wolf slowly opened their eyes and rose up from a sleeping pose to a sitting one.
They didn’t realize how loose their clothes actually were, the tank-top was weirdly sitting on the wolf’s body as one shoulder and half of their arm bare for the world to see and the shorts hanging on the wolf’s hip with a pretty loose belt.
They heard the noise of the door opening slowly and saw a red figure which the wolf felt a feeling of nostalgia to standing in the doorway.
“Nick?” the wolf recognized the figure as a red fox.
“How do you know my name?” the fox answered defensively included with a defensive pose.
‘He doesn’t remember me? ...Well it has been almost 4 years…guess i gotta remind him somehow… I know!’
The wolf stopped rubbing their eye and got up, raising their face and letting a smile grow on their face.
“Don’t you remember me Nicky? It’s me (Y/N) (L/N)” the wolf replied happily making a joke salute gesture.

Chapter 1: City Streets
You gingerly wove your way through the bustling city streets. The sun was bright and made your fur pleasantly warm as you wandered around the center of Zootopia. Shielding your eyes with a slender paw, your mismatched eyes squinted at the crowd you found yourself in. The mass of bodies around you made you feel as if you were suffocating. You couldn’t turn without nearly bumping into someone else. A green eye and a purple eye gleamed as you realized that you were exactly where you wanted to be. A sly grin formed on your fluffy face as you quickly began to walk forward.
Quick paw steps allowed you to make it t

She then noticed she was back in her apartment. Nick was still sleeping soundly on the floor and subsequently didn’t woke up from her scream.
